These wee pieces were created after a dear friend shared a bitesize sermon from James 4:6, which says, "But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." It brought me to thinking that no matter what happens in life, whether it be something to be joyful over or something that you find yourself in a dark place, even if, even when and even then HE giveth more grace. Just like Christ taught us to pray in Matthew 6 but also when He was in the garden of Gethsemene, in Matthew 26, "He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done." So should we pray and acknowledge and submit to God's will for our lives, asking for His will to be done.

2 Corinthians 4:6-8 says, "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair..." Is that not a thought beyond comprehension? That we are entrusted with this precious treasure, which is the good news about salvation in unworthy earthen vessels of human frailty, so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be shown to be from God, His sufficiency, and not from ourselves.
