I love that hymn, "Oh, victory in Jesus, my Saviour forever, He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood, He loved me 'ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him, He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood." What a great truth, that we DO have victory in Jesus BECAUSE we are justified through the work done on the cross and we are sanctified every day when we lean on His strength.
My favourite chapter in the bible is Romans 8, because it speaks so much love and faithfulness from God to a people who love upon condition and are a very faithless people. Like...the first verse says there is some condemnation... wait, it doesn't say that. It says there is NO condemnation to those who are IN Christ Jesus. The Amplified Version, which I use to study God's word, says this: "Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]."
I pray that this month’s prayer and reading plan is a real blessing for you, and that God open your eyes more to Christ and that He can give us the victory through all of our trials.
