I woke up this morning and heard the wind blowing wildly outside, watching the trees more around energetically and wondering, "How on earth do those trees stay in the ground at such a high wind?"
I think back to creation and how God made everything perfectly - he "saw that it was good" is mentioned six times in Genesis 1, for each day that God created and added more to His Heavens and Earth.
Before sin entered the world (Genesis 2), the world God created was "good", pleasing, useful. He created everything in the right order, to fit in with the next day of creation. God made a beautiful world from nothing, as the Amplified Bible describes it.
Today, we look around and see sin and destruction everywhere. But we need to remember that God still reigns. The God who created the heavens and the earth.
Let's look at it together.
Why not go out with your family today, or talk a walk yourself and admire the beauty that God created. Breathe in that fresh air. Listen to the birds whistling or the rivers flowing. Take a moment to take it all in, and thank Him for the wonderful earth He created.
